The Nazar Blues - Ninety-Nine And A Half (Won't Do) / Hubie
I know nothing about this band or the record label but I greatly enjoy the A-side on this one. It kind of reminds me of ? and The Mysterians, the B-side is an instrumental. Click here to listen.
I was the rhythm guitar player for The Nazar Blues. The Band members were... Don Stillings singer...Bill Beaty drums...Larry Hughes bass...Mike Schwind lead guitar....and me Steve Gottfried rhythm guitar. The record was produced by Tony Giampietro who owns the label. The band was from a town in Ohio called Galion.
Galion is also...The hometown of Jamie Lyons who sang Little Bit O' Soul... for the Music Explosion who recorded this 1967 million seller.
Unfortunately the Nazar Blues record only got minor USA air play...but did have some popularity in Europe.. In recent years the record has been played around the world on youtube and other venues...hopefully it will continue to be enjoyed for many more years to come. Thanks for helping promote this record.
Featuring out of print and obscure music you have probably never heard before. I don't think most files posted here are available anywhere but on dusty old records. If you are the copyright holder and want the files removed I will comply.
